Experience and/or Pre-requisites include:

Requirements:

• Current license by the Virginia Board of Nursing to practice as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 180 years of nursing experience, preferably in long term care
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations as they relate to long term care
• BSN Preferred; RN Required

The typical schedule for the MDS Coordinator is Monday-Friday with a weekend rotation of Manager on Duty.

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for completing minimum data set assessments and creating comprehensive plans of care after review of the patient's medical record and communication with direct care staff, the patient's physician, and family. The Admissions Director is responsible for the overall development, coordination and implementation of all MFA admission management and census development proceedings within the Healthcare Center. This position is considered a “Key Position” within the center’s leadership team. The job is a busy one, and successful Admissions Directors have the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities daily.

Some of your duties as Admissions Director will include but are not limited to:

• Oversees the Admissions Department and Admissions Coordinator

Experience with medical records - to include 1-3 years of clinical experience in an office setting - is required. Applicant must possess above average communication skills, the ability to follow directions and type at least 40 wpm, excellent organizational skills, and high emotional intelligence. Must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
